[Hallicrafters] R12 wood cabinet speaker

Hi Guido KP4FAR 

I happen to own an  R12 speaker.The back cover covers ALL of the rear of the 
speaker.That how the  BASS reflex principle works ,sound energy from back of 
the speaker is reflected  from the acoustic padding on the rear cover and 
directed thru the opening on the  front.
So which island are you located on?
