Hi Joey,
For R-42 spkrs, S-40, etc. cabinets, Krylon 1613 "Semi Flat Black"
seems to be a good fit.
As Roy said, the lettering was silkscreened. I have a screen that I had
made a cupla yrs ago, but haven't mastered the technique of screening onto a
metal surface. I'd be glad if anyone can give me some guidance from their
experience. Can't get the right combination of ink(paint) consistency,
pressure, and gap. I've done 3, one came out well, fairly quickly. One was
good after many tries, one still needs more tries. From what Roy said, I
about gave away the first 2, at what I thought was a high price.
Also can use a different area of the screen for R-46's, but the raised
area so close to the lettering makes them a real pain. Still haven't gotten
one to be decent. Again, a voice of experience would be greatly
appreciated.
