[Hallicrafters] What rcvr to use with a HT-37

Hey Joey,
The SX-110 was, and is, a decent general coverage receiver. It is about the
middle of the road, not bad, but not great, either. For MW or SW listening
it is just fine, but it lacks some of the sophistication of the Ham band
receivers.
I had one and enjoyed it for "general listening". However, for Ham use, I
believe it lacks features and functions that most Hams would be unhappy not
having.
Let me suggest to you, Joey, and anyone else not familiar with the book by
Chuck Dachis "Radios By Hallicrafters", that you plunder the porcelin pig
and buy a copy. Get the 'Second Edition'! The first edition is contained in
the second edition, plus more. So just get the second edition.
It is not expensive, as good information goes, and will allow the reader to
become "better" acquainted with the functions, features and intended use of
the different models of Hallicrafters receivers, transmitters, transceivers
and more.
Good luck.
