Dan,

You hit the nail right on the head!  It is a cabinet style and color 
match, it DOES work!  I used to work roundtables and nets with one and 
never had to chase anyone UNLESS I was dumb enough to turn it on and 
expect to jump in immediately.  That's an expectation that is invalid 
for any radio.

Even high end SS rigs drift for a period when first turned on.
