Howie,

- If you can get a Sams folder on the set, they often list replacement 
transformer types.  They, of course, would be contemporary to the time but 
you can find data on old transformers at 
http://www.bunkerofdoom.com/  (LOTS of old transformer catalogs are posted 
there.)

- AES has at least two small SE to P-P driver transformers that would 
work.. get the smallest one unless the bigger one fits in the mounting 
holes better.  Check the 6R7 (unfamiliar) specs to see if what it needs is 
in the ballpark.  Moderately close is quite good enough.

- Gary in Maine would  likely rewind the thing for you if it came to that.
