CFL discussion is a bit off topic, but the old ones made in USA were better lasted longer and were quieter than the ones we now are forced to buy from China, but they all contain mercury. Which is worse? Using a bit of electricity or poisoning the earth with Mercury?
Although I have not had much RFI from the one on my shack table ( about 3 ft from my Tx/Rx) I still like incandescents.
