Please join us on Sunday August 10th for the Halligan's Hallicrafters
International, (HHI), 20 meter Net. Let those weeds grow, let those kitty
litter duties go, go play with things that still go glow in the dark and
sometimes cause neighborhood garage doors to magically open and close!
The Pre-Net commences at 12:45 PM EST/EDT, (1645 UTC).
The HHI Net officially starts at 1:15 PM EST/EDT, (1715 UTC). If you hear
the bongs of Big Ben normally eminating from the BBC in jolly old London,
you be on the wrong frequency dude!
The frequency is 14.293 MHZ usb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and the
gnarly gnashing of twisted teeth as my ailing Ham iii rotor is having
trouble taking a bite out of the coordinates to which I would like it to
point the Mosley TA-33! Hopefully before Winter I can find a young
courageous local Ham who loves to climb towers and understands that not all
safety belts fasten children into car seats! Get that moaning and teeth
chattering rotor unit down to ground level and find a dentist who patches up
broken teeth with a welder!
Listen for us from 14.292 MHZ up through 14.293 MHZ. We shall be there,
somewhere, trying to defend the real estate we temporarily laid claim to!
Propagation permitting, I shall attempt to read WZ1M, Gary 'Mr. Parts'
Brown's list of available items and manuals. If Gary would levitate his
antenna from its current flat on the ground under the grass clippings
horizontal polarity position, to tied vertically to a tree with giant twist
ties his XYL got at a'Buy One - Get One Flea' sale for antibiotic and
growth hormone free naturally enhanced large Chickens, he could read this
list on the air himself!
Here is hoping to hear you tomorrow. Keep those wonders that still go glow
in the dark lit and every holiday be sure to show your guests what a "real"
radio looks like! If it doesn't glow, try plugging it in!
