I wonder if the shops that specialize in the modern speakers know how to

handle the oldies. Its been my understanding that the cone shapes are 
different and/or have different responses.

That said, Ive been using SRS Enterprises in Colorado Springs, CO for 
several years with excellent results and am about to send him an 8"
from a 
GE tombstone Ive restored. He also did my Halli R-12 as well as many
30's 
and 40's home and auto radios.

I wouldnt mind finding similar reasonable priced and quick service a bit

closer and as an alternate.
