[Hallicrafters] HT-32 Transformers

In spite of all conventional wisdom to the contrary, my HT-32 Mark I has 
survived its whole life with vacuum tube rectifiers and its original 
transformer.

The only thing I've ever done is to try to be careful to pause at 
"Standby" before turning it off.  Sometimes I don't remember and still 
the transformer soldiers on.

I don't know for sure what gave these things their fragile reputation 
but there must be some truth in it.  It's just not been my experience.
