Don't know about the late sixties, but I attended the Electronic Warfare
Equipment Repair Course at USASCS Fort Monmouth, NJ in '64 & '65. The
first fourteen weeks were a course in basic electronics taught in the
Radar School. The last nineteen weeks were devoted to training on
specific types of equipment.
Those first fourteen were a very good education in electronics of the
vacuum tube variety. I still rely on what I learned there.
