[Hallicrafters] SX 17 Rebuild

Hello from a newbie:

I have had for some years now an SX 17 Super Skyrider.  It is complete, and 
worked somewhat, years ago.   I am contemplating restoring it, and want to 
learn prior art on such restorations.  Also it is without matiching cabinet, 
so I will be looking for one of those, and maybe a Hallicrafters matching 
speaker.  Any idea of the value of such a diamond in the rough is, in 
functional, but unrestored condition,  and then after a top notch cosmetic 
and electrical restoration?

One of my first novice receivers back in 1967 was a Hallicrafters S-38
