[Hallicrafters] SX-42 Phone Jack

My SX-42 has normal audio volume when played through the speaker. The audio
volume is severely reduced (barely audible) when headphones are plugged into
the Phone Jack. The headphones work correctly when used on my 101A. Caps
have been changed, tube filaments are lit, reception is good on all bands. I
suspected the 6SL7 audio inverter but it is warm to the touch. The tone
control also seems to work correctly. I'm stumped, any ideas are welcome.
