[Hallicrafters] Solid state rectifier and matching 6V6s

I agree although I can't see most of mine, I do appreciate the heat in the 
winter however, there is nothing like sitting in front of a radio with about 
20 tubes in it on a cold winter night, also I like to show off my DX-100 to 
my wife who thrills at the prospect of looking at the 6293 power tubes glow 
almost as much as she likes handing me wrenches when I change the oil in my 
car, hi!

Electric Radio sells soft start devices with built in voltmeters and they 
have about a 6 V voltage drop, all my radios gradually warm up now over a 
period of one to two minutes and run at about 115 V, (normal voltage here is 
approx 121 V) the power transformers run noticeably cooler, they are well 
worth the price. I got 5 of the 300 watt models and always use them now,
