It may also have been done if the owner was into 6M DX and used a converter 
with a 28 mHz IF. By doing so he could tune down to many foreign commercial 
and TV stations as propagation indicators.

What is your serial # ?   Mine is 15000  140053 The two groups of numbers 
are different sizes and Im assuming that the real serial is the latter and 
mine is #53 of that run.
Has anyone started a registry of the SX-115 or has production info?
