Folks,
I packed up my SX 17 in preps for a person who expressed interest in it, but that prospect has decided to decline consummating a deal. I have packed it carefully into a large, yet light professional Video Cam Shipping case, called a Shok-Stop.

The included, like-new Thermodyne Shok Stop case would retail for more than several hundred dollars. The perfect shipping case, it goes to the the new owner with the SX 17.
The SX 17 is in good pre-restoration shape, and produced shortwave audio signals a few years back when I turned it on briefly to look for smoke trying to get out. (:>) . (None was found)
The SX-17 needs the usual capacitor replacements, alignment, and cosmetic cleaning that a 70 year old radio needs. It also needs a tube shield, and grid caps (grid caps, not necessary for functionality, just completeness) on several tubes. The front panel is in good shape, all controls, switches, knobs, dial cords, S-meter, bandspread dial, etc are functional. Included are operating and Alignment manual, with comprehensive original instructions on alignment and operating.
So, send questions, offers. I need to move this out...Put a shipping label on it.

Also, somewhere on the web, is a free downlodable, complete PDF original
Owners Manual/Alignment manual. I can attach and email with a reply to any query.
All the Best, 73,
