You hit the problem right on the head for me.  I'm trying to fix up R42 
speaker which is hallicrafter dark gray.  Went to Sherman Williams to get 
paint and they tell me that the color coding you listed is for a light gray 
which I can understand.  They also said the code that you listed 6405 -- 13 
974 he said is a latex Sentinel all paint. is he mixed up or are we.  This 
is all new to me.  Any help would be appreciated.  Also looked at the 
gravity of the paint gun at cummins tools .  It has a small paint bowl at 
the top and a pressure regulator for the air and two different spray 
nozzles.  I don't know what I'm going to need.
