[Hallicrafters] MOVIE RECEIVER MYSTERY SOLVED

Hi all,

In the WW II film "FLYING TIGERS" starring John Wayne, there is a shot of The 
Duke leaning on a Hallicrafters speaker atop an SX-23.  There has been some 
speculation as to whether the second receiver in the shot was an SX-24 or 
SX-25. It was very much in the shadows and partially hidden by another actor. I 
have determined with 99% accuracy that the second receiver is, in fact, an SX-24 
Skyrider Defiant.

In another scene, that same receiver was used as a transmitter py plugging a 
mic inth the headset jack.  It would sure have been nice if that slight of 
hand actually worked! At least the SX-24 and 25 standby switches are marken 
SEND-REC.
I guess someone didn't read the instructions!
