[Hallicrafters] Adding 3 prong plug the right way

The absolute safest way top dedal with an AC/DC set is to install an 
isolation transformer. There is room in  nearly all the Hallicrafters sets to do this 
although it may have to be mounted topside on  the chassis and the leads 
extended. There are transformers available that will fit and handle the current. A 
polarized cord set which is properly installed should still be installed and 
with the isolation tranny, should take care of any problems even if the outlet 
is miswired. Of course to be 100% safe, the isolation tranny should be the the 
first thing that the power cord hits on the way into the receiver.  The only 
drawback here is that the tranny will be drawing current all the time inless 
some alternate switching arrangemment is employed. Any way you sloice it, it is 
a can of worms.
