Good morning all:
Just a heads up. We may have found our problem with BAMA mirror access. Seems the conditions that precipitate the access problem follow. If you have a high speed connection i.e. four Mbps or higher and you download an unbundled group of files (The Johnson 6N2 --- 22 files) rapidly, you may appear to be a Robot attempting to download all of BAMA for sale at auction. This will cause the server to disable your IP address. The mirror site is profoundly important to me, so rather than asking ED to change the server attributes, I changed my IP address and all is well now. Changing your IP address with most ISP's service desk's is impossible at best. You will invariable have a seven day lease on the address, and every time you boot, reset it to seven more. We changed a single bit in the one of the low order bytes of the MAC address and rebooted forcing the ISP to allocate a different address. In eight days, when the original lease expires, we will restore all to normal. We have heard numerous guesses that it is a Microsoft IE6, IE7 or some other problem. NOT SO!!! Kindest regards Jim K9AXN
