Hi All,
I have completed the alignment as best I could on all bands. This
radio has been such an education!
I know the alignment is not perfect but it is good enough for now.
Aligning band six requires a 60mc signal source, my generator only
goes to 30mc. I tried to pick up a harmonic but could only pick up
the smallest signal with the RF generator cranked all the way up with
full modulation. In any case I was able to find a definite peak
through the RF stages and my FM stations all come in fine which is all
I will use that band for anyway.

FYI I used my fluke 89 DMM for the alignment. I have heard about
problems with digital meters but this one seemed to work fine. I used
the analog-like bar graph on the bottom of the screen, is seems to
have a very fast response. Occasionally I had to set the scale
manually, no big deal.

Items remaining:
The s-meter does not work
The crystal filter needs to be worked on, I have gotten some great
advice from WQ9E.

In the mean time I have it back together and it seems to be working
fine, a proper antenna will help test out all the bands.
