It is not the cataracts that caused the change in
color. I had the surgery performed on one of my eyes
last year and the lens that was installed definitely
has a different color range than the original lens.

Everything through that eye has a more blue "tint".
Not so bad as to cause any problems, but if I close
one eye then the other the "tint" changes from
slightly blue to a more yellow.

Also, the surgeon cautioned me to always wear
sunglasses when outside during the day even when it is
cloudy. It seems that the replacement lenses make the
eye more sensitive to ultra-violet light.

However, the ability to see clearly out of the eye
which had the lens replaced is definitely worth the
slight change in color perception.

I have just completed cataract surgery on both eyes.
I find that the colors of my BA's have changed. I
didn't realize how the cataracts were affecting my
color perception.
