I don't disagree with that at all, and the newbies getting into it and
trying to play catch up have really had to spend some $ to get items
many of us found for much less. But that was the good thing: picking up
gear because you wanted it, you enjoyed it, not because it was a
potential investment. The good thing is, we're still free to buy or not
buy, based on what we're comfortable paying.

Other side of the coin is the large amount of gear that would've never
seen the light of day. In time, this will help bring prices back in line
with demand. It already has on some of the more common Collins items.
Ebay is just another tool, like yard sales, hamfests, etc.
