Thanks for the many replies.
On the topic of solid-stating the PS .. I see the Weber devices for
$22 and the Pete Dahl ones for $8. I'm assuming the Dahls are just
diodes and the Webers have other stuff, dropping resistor, something
to limit inrush? I hate to spend $22 for some 1N4007's and a resistor
:)
