Hi Tim,

The SX-23 is a fine example of an art deco receiver.  They look nice and work 
fairly well for what they are. If you are a collector, you need one, 
otherwise there are better receivers out there. If the one offered to you is in good 
shape, has all the knobs and cosmetics inside and outside are good, I would try 
to pick it up.  They go for between $275 to $500 depending on condition and 
if they are working and have been restored. It is the only receiver that 
Hallicrafters made that has that unusual styling.
