Well that's great Glen.  I suspect not too many of these transmitters 
were sold  between '51 and '53, and they're so doggone heavy that it 
would take an effort to get rid of one!  So hopefully many still 
survive, although this is the only one I've actually seen.   I poked the 
$449 list price into the inflation calculator and it says that's the 
equivalent of $3367 in today's money - a pretty big chunk of change in 
the Eisenhower era, especially for a rig that put out 100 watts and 
didn't even have a VFO!
