"The SX-101 (early) I was given recently spent a lot of time in a moldy
environment.  On cleanup, large swatches of the black and white paint on
the back of the dial glass came off.  The glass is intact, but it's
mostly clear now."

Advice:  Don't ever clean the dial faces on vintage radios except for a
light dusting with a soft tissue or cloth.
