Jack, I think that B+ high voltage is higher on the PS-500 ps rather 
than the correct one for the HT-44. Many years ago, I purposedly 
modified my sr-160 with the same finals as the SR-500 and then used the 
PS-500 for a lot higher output rig.  Fern

Question for the group.

Is there, with a wiring change, any way one can use the power supply 
that comes with the sr400 (ps-500a-ac) to power the sx117/ht44? As I 
remember the supply is just for the ht44. I think the sx117 has its own 
supply.
