Hi Dick et al;
I could not agree more. I refuse to use Hertz except for certain
purposes. The designation "cycles per second" is a description of the
action, like "miles per hour". Hertz is meaningless unless you know what
it stands for......cycles per second. To change from a descriptive name
to some guy's name is the same mindset as changing "miles per hour" to
"Fords" to honor Henry Ford. The road signs would then say " maximum
speed 65 Fords". Again, meaningless unless you know what "Fords" stand
for.........miles per hour.
