[Hallicrafters] Re Short-Wave Xtal Sets

Hi All,

About three years ago I held a DX challenge to subscribers of the 
SWL at mailman.qth.net list. Some certificates were given and a prize or two 
awarded. Everyone had to build their own xtal set to catch some waves of 
short withThey could use their own design or any other one, the one I 
offered was totally an option. . I did offer plans for one very nicely 
designed set, with the permission of the designer, and over a hundred people 
wrote to get the plans.

However, as far as I know, only one person actually built the set! This did 
surprise me some, as with the amount of interest that appeared to be shown, 
I thought perhaps a fourth might actually put one together and have some 
fun. Who knows, maybe it will get done some other year.

I have gotten a number of requests for the plans to my own set, but they are 
not available to the world at large just yet. However, I do have web site 
links and other plans for any of you who would be so interested. Thanks for 
asking.
