I have a nice SX-111. It has been recapped (not by me) and works very
nicely. I have had the cabinet painted. There is a small chip out of the
main tuning knob and some of the dial markings are a bit squiggly, but
it does not affect the performance of the radio. Shipping weight is 40 lbs
I also have a spare SX-117, and a very nice SX-117+HT-44 setup. I have
been thinking of selling my spare SX-117 and taking the SX-117+HT-44 off
the market.
My spare SX-117 is in nice shape and has had several new parts added. It
does work, however, it will need some more work to make it "hot". I have
quite a bit of money in this radio but would sell both the SX-111 and
SX-117 at a better price.
I would really like to trade for some newer radio for ecomm work like a
Ten-Tec Jupiter or a Icom IC-706 MK IIG.
I will post pics of the SX-111 on my site later today.
