[Hallicrafters] Homebrew Tube VFO Schematic

      At the Shelby Hamfest this weekend I picked up a homebrewed VFO to use
with my Halicrafters HT-40.  Whoever built it did a beautiful job in
construction. But the man selling it was not the man who built it and he had
no idea which VFO design the builder used.  I need to figure out which VFO
design this was based on and get a copy of the schematic and/or article for
future reference and repair.

      Can anyone help me, although I doubt this design is from anything
recent?  I looked through my meager collection of old ARRL handbooks and saw
nothing similar.  The unit uses the following complement of tubes:
>      6SJ7- Oscillator
>      6CX8- Buffer
>      12AT7- Doubler
>      OC2- Grid Block
>      OA2- Power Supply (?)
>      OA2- Power Supply (?)

      Does this lineup look familiar to anyone?  If so, please email me a
citation. If you have a copy of the article, I can send you a SASE with a
couple of stamps to cover Xerox costs.
