[Hallicrafters] SX-71 Mods

Can anyone point me in the direction of the SX-71 2nd IF mods, referred to in
the archives and on the old HCI site?

I know that one of them is to change the cathode resistor in the 2nd IF from 1K
to 270. However, I know there's more to it. I remember reading something on it
on the old HCI site. The "more to it" is what I need to know.
