If this thing has a balanced input,  is easy to check the antenna coil with 
an ohmmeter.  Put the leads across the antenna terminals and set for low 
value resistance.  Set the band switch to position 4 and the meter should 
read short.

Should the link be open, it won't read at all.  That will eliminate the 
antenna link coil.  Check the continuity on the secondary for coninuity. 
Check for continuity on other band 4 coils.

Had an SX 28 one time with this problem.  I fixed it, but hated taking those 
coils out of the box.
