[Hallicrafters] Revolutionary Signal Generator

Hi Rob,
I'm all for your project, but I get turned off when you have to have a
PC right next to what you're working on or with. I use my PC hourly when
I'm at home, it's a great tool, but I don't want it running my shack or
shop. Any piece of eqpt, operating or test, should be "stand alone"
except possibly for the power supply. I've thought for a long time that a
project such as yours would be a good one, maybe 10 yrs ago (if
hardware/software was as it is now) I might have jumped into it. But my
life has simplified consideraby since then. I have managed to get some
decent not too out of date test eqpt in the past 6-8 yrs, and do apply it
to a lot of boatanchors.
I'll be following any reports on your project, if I can help I'd be
glad to do what I can -- grouchy opinions, evaluations, trials, etc.
Eventual possible customer/builder.
Thanks for your efforts, keep it up.
73,
Al, W8UT
