One of the first computers was all tubes, and yes it was digital.
BTW not all "computers" are digital.  You can do an awful lot with 
differential equations and analog computers (op amps).

Well seems to me, being a neophyte here, that something awfully 
inneresting happens in those parts drawers when digital components sit
next to analog components.  I recently heard of digital pots. Hmm. Now
-that- was a 'begat' if ever I sawr one. 
Maybe there's even digital caps, I dunno!

It's a wild, wild, wild, wild world out there, that's for sure.

  I also heard they've revised (a bit) the 2006 Tech License question
array.  What might that portend for those of us studying for same?
