Yes, if you are doing the IF on an S76 or another model
that uses a 50kHz IF, then you might do. But those models seem
relatively uncommon. Besides, for aligning the IF, a modern
sweep generator like the Tektronix FG504 is the way to go :-)

Is there another reason why going down to 50kHz is required?
