Not to worry. You will get another shot because it ended at $103.50
with RESERVE NOT MET. So it will probably be back on again. Be
prepared to spend some big bucks!!!!!

I wonder if it was made as a promotional kind of radio, like the clear
plastic cased one, and did not go into normal production?

Jim,

I was bidding on that since I noticed the same thing, the "DM" is not
listed
in the book and I was going to grab it since it looked so nice, but I
forgot
about it and missed the final bid by 2 minutes. DAMN.

Anyway, Duane, what about the "DM". First time I ever saw one or
heard of
one.

Hi Duane,

I am not surprised that Chuck has stopped that practice. As I said
below, he must have a warehouse full of spare sets by now so I am sure
he doesn't need any more.

New subject, but still related to collecting. I saw an S-38DM (not
EM) up for auction and Chuck doesn't even mention that model in his
books. Does anyone know the history on the 38DM? It has a gold metal
face frame and the mahogany finished metal cabinet. I know they made
a 38EM and a 38EB, but I did not know about the S-38DM. BTW, a really
nice looking radio. Maybe Chuck can buy this one and put it in his
next book.
