[Hallicrafters] Compliments to the reflector manager

I have been critical of, Duane, the manager of this
reflector in the past, but I believe that when
compliments are deserved, they should be given. And
since I made PUBLIC comments that were not
complimentary, I feel that my COMPLIMENTS should be
likewise, PUBLIC.

I COMPLIMENT Duane on doing a GREAT JOB since the last
"firestorm" of a couple weeks ago. He has managed the
reflector from the "shadows" and generally the members
have tried to not antagonize Duane or each other too
much.

I think we, as members of a "generally technical"
reflector should keep in mind that "stories"
interesting to US might just not be interesting to
OTHER MEMBERS!! Who cares if your grand-maw got run
over by a truck with a Hallicrafters CB Radio
installed?

We criticize Duane for his transgressions and then
start threads that make other members ask "Who
Cares"???

I tell myself that I am not as "clever" or as
Interesting" to others as I am to myself. Occasionally
I will post something that starts a non- technical
thread, but I try not to do so. Usually a half dozen
answers are enough to any question if qualified
Amateurs answer the questions based on first hand
knowledge and experience.

This IS NOT intended to become a "thread", just to
compliment the manager, Duane, for good management
lately and encouragement for Duane to keep up the
"good work"!!!

We all gave Duane a complete "Check-up", now let us
give ourselves a checkup and keep the reflector clean
of trivia that we should email directly to our circle
of interested Hams. I think that if we don't provoke
action from Duane that we won't get it. Will you do
your part as a responsible reflector member? I WILL!!
