Hello all.... I'm hoping that someone reading this might have a copy of the
article in the March 1971 issue of QST (page 16) that details the conversion
of a Hallicrafters HT-41 amp from using 7094 tubes to 572B's. Will gladly
reimburse for any expense. Tnx, 73, Bill, wd0x at arrl.net
I'd be interested any details of that modification as well, as I don't have
the 70's QST's on CD yet. I have a HT-41 that was converted to use a pair
of 572B's in grounded grid by its previous owner. It was a wonderful
self-contained 800 watt power oscillator on most bands. Taming it took some
effort and extra shielding, and it was still was a bit touchy on 10 and 15
meters when I last had it on the operating desk. However, it sure does look
good beside the SX-111 and HT-37.
