[Hallicrafters] HOBBY?

Is this about our BELOVED HOBBY or about self
centered, selfish business people who make this their
living scarfing off the true Hams for their financial
benefit. Or, is this about egomaniacs who selfishly
guard their intellectual(questionable)property?

If this is a HOBBY reflector, then maybe these people
who are worried about their "property" should keep
"their property" off of this reflector. We shouldn't
be worried about "reading other people's property"!!!
We might get a bill in the mail for utilizing
"copyrighted" material for our benefit or pleasure.

I think maybe I should send out an investigator to
find all those people who built a dipole like mine
using old coke bottles for end insulators and center
insulator. I discovered that the coke bottle being
very thick glass made a great insulator, and having
the unique "coke bottle shape" with ridges just below
the top of the bottle made it ideal to tie wire around
at the top and near the bottom...thus an insulator!!!
YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO USE MY IDEA OR BUILD
SUCH AN ANTENNA...if you do I will take action against
you and i must be given "praise" for having the
thought in addition to whatever else I might be
entitled to for my "creation".

I am going to go outside and take my antennas down
because someone may copy my unique way of wrapping the
wire on the insulators and copy the angle of the
dangle. They might also duplicate all the florescent
light bulbs attached to the antenna that light up the
night when I talk. THIS IS ALL VERY VALUABLE
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND WORK PRODUCT AND I DON'T
WANT ANYONE ELSE HAVING IT. I will not share it with
anyone, and I do have a picture of everything in an
unopened envelope that I made and mailed to myself
with the postmark thereon to fix the date that I
"invented" these valuable antennas. I was taught in
Law School that ideas alone cannot be patented, so I
guess taking the antennas down and out of sight would
be the safest thing to do.

Reminds me of a KID I played with as a KID, if he
didn't get his way, he would just take his marbles and
go home!!

This reflector takes me back to my childhood. "That is
mine, I saw it first", NO you didn't I saw it first".
I'm gonna tell Momma...except today it is "I called my
Lawyer" .......How sad for a HOBBY!!! 73, John, K5PGW
