Hi Gary,

If you will do a search in the Hallicrafters and Heathkit? archives, about
fourteen months back, there was an extensive discussion on this topic. Some
very good suggestions, methods and suggestions came out of it. I think you
will find it well worth your time to go back and read those posts Gary.

I may be incorrect about the Heathkit list, it may have been the Boat Anchor
list.

You can do this search from the HCI web site Gary, the Web Master, Fred
Mooney, KA1DGL wrote some excellent search routines. We have many vintage
gear archives available there.

i wish somebody would take the time to save the posts about a given topic,
vut the header info and footer info off, remove the ">" and so forth, get
rid of the off the topic comments and so forth. Then put them into a word
processing program and save them out as a .txt file. Then when one of us
wanted such information, that person, or possibly the HCI web site, could
send it to them on demand. I know it is a lot of work at the outset, but
just think of the benefits down the road. A person could literally put
together a fifty CD volume set on technical tips for electrical and cosmetic
restoration.

If you can not find this info Gary, let me knw. I may have made a note about
it in my master database.
