[Hallicrafters] old radios in the movies

I still like the "Chrimson Ghost" series where the hench folks plug a mic 
into the phone jack of an SX-42 and work MARS with no QRM.  I tried that and 
can't work next door. Maybe there is something wrong with it!!! Oh, blew the mic 
element, too. Guess I had better call "Ghost Busters!"
