Thanks to all that responded in particular John W4---.

This is what I have discovered.
There are two distinct different power supplies. 

The PS-500A-AC to be used with the SR-400 Cyclone and Cyclone I and the SR-400A Cyclone II.
The PS-500-AC to be used with the SR-500.

The PS-500A-AC uses the 050-003481 transformer. It was designed for the 400 line of SR's

The PS-500-AC uses the 050-002181 transformer. There is no 220v option. The voltages are higher to drive the 8236's to 500 watts. If you use this power supply or transformer with the 400's you may see smoke.
