[Hallicrafters] PS-500 wrong transformer

I have come across a PS-500A-AC power supply with a wrong power transformer in it. The Hallicrafters part # on the wrong transformer is 050-002181 (date code 1966 week 39). The correct transformer part # is 050-003481. The output voltages were considerably higher and the SR-400 was pretty well fried. 

I am now looking for the correct transformer. I am also quite curious about what the wrong transformer came out of. Any body out there have any info on either.
