For the fellow who remembers CW Electronics in Denver, I was the Service Manager for a time, working for John Capone (WAØADV).  We were at 14th. & Blake St, and Allen Applegate (Applecrate) [ KØBG] ran the hamshack.  As the shop was upstairs, in an UN-air conditioned space, it got pretty toasty up there in the Summer, and we had stapled plastic (wall to ceiling) for the Winter.  I had been the Denver Regional Svc. Mgr. for the old Burstein-Applebee out here, and am one of the reasons that John moved CW to the 8th. and Lincoln St. location (I knew where the bodies were buried, so to speak).  A fellow named George ran the hamshack there, but CW got heavily involved in Apple computers, and got stuck with lots of outdated inventory - I remember going over and buying a bunch of inventory for my boss at the time.

It was a double whammy for me, as I had helped close down that store for Burstein-Applebee, then CW Electronics.
