[Hallicrafters] How to Destroy a Nice Hallicrafters Receiver

 Come on gang, so the radio has been modified.  But I still don't see the
scope or the 6 foot WWV wire.

I got a HQ-120 from the estate of the last Hammarlund Chief Engineer.  The
front is a terrible green rather than the nice black, the cabinet looks like
a replacement he had available with some extra holes in the side and two
extra toggle switches have been mounted to the right of the S meter above
the main tuning dial.  Switch one switches a product detector out of the
circuit.  Switch to CW and the product detector is on.  The second switch
switches a 100 kcs calibrator on.  The crystal is dead so it no longer
works.  The efforts he made were to make it better.

I can't speak to the changes in the ole SX-115.  There may have been an
application to modify the receiver.  I agree its been devaluded but the
seller says it works.
I would hold his feet to the fire if someone buys it and its DOA.
