Which is why I am adding an outboard DSB VFO/Exciter to my Knight TR-106
and may even add FM capability ... will give me an excuse to hold on to
it! :-)
Radios are different than houses, though the danger and waste of
high voltage and inefficiency is real it is manageable and the
energy use tiny in comparison to a house.
Besides, I can use my BA radio to call for assistance when
your square stick-built house blows away in the wind ... giggle!
