Improvements in construction technology efficiencies now make the
construction of a monolithic dome home with Orion stemwall the same
cost to build, per square foot, as a traditional home.

Advantages? Much more energy efficient, handles the forces of
a Cat5 hurricane, F5 tornado, flooding, wildfires, etc.

The Orion stemwall is a series of 8 foot tall flat surface
sections at the base of the dome so that standard windows
and doors may be utilized and the structure blends better
with traditional structures. (I only know this because we
are considering this design for our next home ... if we ever
sell our Florida 10 acres and home.)

Within a couple of decades the few traditional structures
that remain will be seen as inefficient relics and unnecessarily
dangerous, interesting to look at though few will want to
live in one!

Kinda like the massive old HP frequency counter I was
recently given. Awesome to look at but my 1/100th size
solid state handheld counter is the one I use.
