[Hallicrafters] SX-101A oscillator problem

Greetings.  I just replaced the 1st conversion oscillator tube (V3) in my SX-101A due to a tube failure.  The 20 meter band (and higher bands ) were affected such that alignment of the scale with the calibrator is no longer possible on these bands.  Does replacement of the 1st conversion oscillator tube always entail realignment, or should I try some other 12BY7A tubes to correct this problem?
