The HT-37 has wonderful audio quality on AM and SSB. Mine and a friend's
were a bit drifty. The HT-32 is stabler I gather. The HT-32 is a filter rig where
the HT-37 is a phasing rig on SSB/AM. One of the best receivers I ever had
with Halligan's namesake on it was the SX-117. Very stable, good filter skirts, a
"notch" filter that was one of the best. I never had it's matching transmitter, the
HT-44. The stablist transceiver I had that they made was the SR-400. It had sorry filter
bandpass skirts though. Dismal on CW anf a notch filter that was next to useless.

Subject: [Hallicrafters] HT series transmitters

| Hi Everyone,
|
| Rather than going Drake, I've been on the lookout for a Hallicrafters transmitter, such as HT-37.
|
| Anyone have any info on which Hallicrafters transmitter is generally the most stable, and least
| headache?
|
| Thanks again for your help,
|
| Darryl
